This Litany does something to me! Each title in this makes me love Mary more. After reciting it, it’s hard deny that Mary is the best, most loving and most compassionate of all Mothers. One thing teaches us compassion and that is suffering. The most perfect of all Our Lord’s Masterpieces was called to suffer, and that is why She is Mother to ALL.

Litany of the Seven Sorrows of Mary

O God, in whose Passion, according to the prophecy of Simeon, a sword of grief pierced through the most sweet soul of Thy glorious Blessed Virgin Mother Mary: grant that we, who celebrate the memory of her Seven Sorrows, may obtain the happy effect of Thy Passion, Who lives and reigns world without end.
