Author of Divine Intimacy Father Gabriel of Saint Mary Magdalen, as well as Pope Saint Leo, reminds us that the Holy Ghost IS in fact the “Spirit of Christ”. Our Lord Himself confirms this by saying “I will not leave you orphans.” I was pondering one of the twelve fruits of peace and Our Lord leaves us remarkable and divine demonstrations of this peace in action throughout the Gospels; notice how it is typically displayed and noted by His Apostles: “But He held His peace”. Such a short sentence is packed with meaning and can be meditated on for hours. Remaining united with the Trinity and Our Lady MOST ESPECIALLY in adversity is the definition of true peace. Exodus 14:14 is another example of unity with God in adversity: The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace. THIS is the stuff of transforming union!
