A very dear friend of mine, from Canada, has superb taste in music. She recently sent me a Sancte Michael Archangele chant and it is GLORIOUS; haunting! Take a moment and listen and read how the Saint Michael prayer was formed when you have a moment:
“Exactly 33 years to the day prior to the great Miracle of the Sun in Fatima, that is, on October 13, 1884, Pope Leo XIII had a remarkable vision. When the aged Pontiff had finished celebrating Mass in his private Vatican Chapel, attended by a few Cardinals and members of the Vatican staff, he suddenly stopped at the foot of the altar. He stood there for about 10 minutes, as if in a trance, his face ashen white. Then, going immediately from the Chapel to his office, he composed the above prayer to St. Michael, with instructions that it be said after all Low Masses everywhere. This Powerful Prayer is an exorcism against Satan and his fallen angels, and offered here in response to Our Holy Father’s request for the recitation of the Prayer of St. Michael. The Original Gregorian Chant Music and the recording is Copyright and performed by The Traditional Benedictine Monks of Our Lady of Guadalupe Monastery, Silver City, New Mexico.”
