By God’s mysterious providence, I felt compelled to purchase the four-volume-set of The Life of Jesus Christ and Biblical Revelations by Anne Catherine Emmerich, based on all the visions Our Lord showed her. Starting with the creation of man, fall of the angels, life of Jesus and Mary, right up to the last days of His Catholic Church. I remember reading, on the back of the volumes when they first came in the mail, the more in depth life of Mary Magdalen which Anne also saw, contained in the books. On the Magdalen’s feast day, if by a divine pull, I opened the section on her conversion. I knew I loved the saint, but this book opened up a whole new world of priceless pearls for me! No wonder Mel Gibson used these books for the Passion of the Christ. I also did not expect to weep the way I did; Anne was shown such a high degree of detail, that the mighty apostle John the Evangelist’s words only made perfect sense (which are very fittingly found in the first few pages of each volume):
But there are also many other things which Jesus did; which, if they were written every one, the world itself, I think, would not be able to contain the books that should be written. (John 21:25)

A good friend of mine, through Mary’s Secretary, reminded me this morning of another one of her visions which she was permitted to see take place in the Catholic Church after Christ and in the latter times. In searching for the vision my friend reminded me of, I saw that OnePeterFive posted a blog on the very vision and chapter I was looking for. I want to re-share a bulk of his blog post; it shows, in greater detail, what the visionary saw take place, which I truly believe…. we are seeing unfold before our eyes, at this very moment in time. Before the article begins, it’s important to note, that Saint Jacinta saw a vision of a future Holy Father living in a “large house”; Anne’s is obviously still very different and more detailed but Jacinta’s still immediately came to mind for me. Even so, she saw a split in the Church. And as Father David Nix’ post recently relayed and confirmed by Vigano: we cannot split the papacy and we cannot split the liturgy, but are we not seeing that at this very moment? Anne Catherine Emmerich and the Two Popes:
By Steve Skojec
If you’ve spent any time looking at Catholic Prophecy on the Internet, you’ve no doubt seen the excerpted portions of the visions of Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich on the “relationship between two popes” and the “baleful consequences” of the “false Church” that would supposedly follow. The way it is usually excerpted looks like this:

I saw also the relationship between two popes … I saw how baleful would be the consequences of this false church. I saw it increase in size; heretics of every kind came into the city of Rome. The local clergy grew lukewarm, and I saw a great darkness…
……
I had another vision of the great tribulation. It seems to me that a concession was demanded from the clergy which could not be granted. I saw many older priests, especially one, who wept bitterly. A few younger ones were also weeping. But others, and the lukewarm among them, readily did what was demanded. It was as if people were splitting into two camps [two liturgies?].
…….
I see the Holy Father in great anguish. He lives in a palace other than before and he admits only a limited number of friends near him. I fear that the Holy Father will suffer many more trials before he dies.
……..
I see that the false Church of darkness is making progress and I see the dreadful influence it has on the people. The Holy Father and the Church are verily in so great a distress that one must implore God night and day…
And of course, in our present circumstances, this is what comes to mind:

MARY OF THE ROTUNDA, ROME May 13, 1820
Then I saw the connection between the two Popes and the two temples. I am sorry that I have forgotten the numbers, but I was shown how weak the one had been in adherents and human support, but how strong in courage to overturn so many gods (I knew the number) and to unite so many different forms of worship into one; and, on the contrary, how strong in numbers and yet how irresolute in action was the other since, in authorizing the erection of false temples, he had allowed the only true God, the only true religion to be lost among so many false gods and false religions.
……
And now the vision became more extended. I saw in all places Catholics oppressed, annoyed, restricted, and deprived of liberty, churches were closed, and great misery prevailed everywhere with war and bloodshed. I saw rude, ignorant people offering violent resistance, but this state of things lasted not long. Again I saw in vision St. Peter’s undermined according to a plan devised by the secret sect while, at the same time, it was damaged by storms; but it was delivered at the moment of greatest distress. Again I saw the Blessed Virgin extending Her mantle over it.
……
In this last scene, I saw no longer the reigning Pope, but one of his successors, a mild, but very resolute man who knew how to attach his priests to himself and who drove far from him the bad. I saw all things renewed and a church which reached from earth to Heaven. I saw one of the twelve new apostles in the person of the young priest whom the unchaste bride wanted to marry. It was a very comprehensive vision and portrayed anew all that had been previously shown me regarding the Church’s destiny. On another occasion, I had a vision of the Vicar-General’s stanch resistance to secular power in behalf of the interests of the Church. The affair covered him with glory, 3 though upon some other points he was to blame. I was told that I should have to go again to the Pope; but when all this will take place I cannot say.”
Either way, we are living in exceedingly dark times, but I also believe we are destined to witness the long-awaited triumph of Mary’s Immaculate Heart. Will things get uglier these next few years? To be sure. But Our Lady, at this very moment, is choosing Her faithful Catholics to form Her heel that WILL crush the head of the snake. This has been promised in all certainty. Remain fervent; She is Virgo Potens!
